Welcome Sean McGee as a New Working Group Co-Lead

MSE Welcomes Sean McGee to the scientific leadership of the MSE Project

MSE welcomes Sean McGee (University of Birmingham) to the scientific leadership of the MSE Project.  He will join Aaron Robotham (University of Western Australia) to co-lead the Galaxy Formation and Evolution Working Group.  Sean’s galaxy work has focused on understanding the role that large scale structure plays in galaxy formation. He approaches this problem through demographic studies of large spectroscopic surveys, targeted searches for rare transition objects, and results from simulations. He finds the prospect of MSE-enabled spectroscopic characterization of the full range of environments (groups, voids, and filaments) at the epoch of peak star formation to be a particularly exciting opportunity.

MSE offers our most sincere thanks to outgoing Galaxy Formation and Evolution co-lead Kim-Vy Tran for her years of service to the project.
