MSE is very pleased to announce that Jennifer Sobeck will join the Project Office as the new System Scientist in February 2021.  Jennifer currently serves as the SDSS-IV Project Manager for APOGEE-2 and LCO Operations, providing her with very relevant experience for her leadership role in the MSE Project.  As an expert in studying chemical abundances of stellar atmospheres, her scientific expertise will also greatly benefit the project.  Given current world events, Jennifer plans to work remotely from Seattle for the time being.  She is preceded in this position by Nicolas Flagey, who served in this role for several years.  It remains to be seen how the Project Office will avoid confusion when referring to the two Jennifers… Welcome to the project, Jennifer!
